Warranty Policy

  1. The Bombay Horology LLP Guarantee

    • Every timepiece is a product of rigorous engineering and craftsmanship. Bombay Horology LLP warrants that your mechanical watch will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

      1. Standard Purchases: Covered for a period of 12 months from the original date of purchase.

      2. Pre-Order Purchases: Covered for an extended period of 24 months from the original date of purchase.

  2. Warranty Registration & Verification

    • When you purchase a timepiece directly from our website, your warranty is automatically activated and linked to your account.

      1. You can verify your warranty activation at any time by logging into the Ownership Portal under your account details on our website.

      2. If your purchased watch does not automatically appear in your portal, you must manually register it by entering the unique warranty number found on the back of the physical warranty card included in your watch box.

  3. What is covered?

    • During the warranty period, the watch movement, hands, and dial are the only components covered under this warranty. If the mechanical movement proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, it will be repaired or the watch will be replaced free of repair charges. All repair or replacement decisions are made at the sole discretion of Bombay Horology LLP.

  4. What is NOT Covered & Out-of-Warranty Repairs.

    • This manufacturer’s warranty does not cover

      1. Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents (drops, severe shock, or impacts).

      2. Water Damage: Any water infiltration caused by failure to secure the screw-down crown or using the watch beyond its stated ATM water resistance rating. 

      3. Magnetization: Timekeeping inaccuracies caused by exposing the mechanical movement to strong magnetic fields. 

      4. Damage caused by unauthorized opening, tampering, or modifications.

    • Restoration Services: While the above damages are not covered under warranty, we are committed to keeping your timepiece ticking. If your watch suffers accidental damage, you can contact us to request a repair. Bombay Horology LLP will assess the watch and provide a cost estimate to restore the timepiece to its original factory specifications as much as mechanically possible.

  5. The Claim Process

    • To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

      1. Log in to your account on our website and navigate to the Ownership Portal.

      2. Locate and select the specific watch model you wish to open a ticket for. 

      3. Fill out the warranty claim form, detailed information about the issue you are experiencing. 

      4. Submit the ticket. Our technical team will review your request and provide further shipping instructions.

  6. Shipping & Concierge Service for Warranty Claims

    • Pre-Order Purchases (Complimentary Concierge Service):
      As a pre-order customer, you are entitled to our premium Concierge Service for the duration of your 24-month warranty. Bombay Horology LLP will fully arrange and cover the costs for the secure pickup of the timepiece from your designated address, as well as the return delivery once the warranty service is complete.

    • Standard Purchases:
      The customer is responsible for the shipping and insurance costs associated with securely sending the watch to the Bombay Horology LLP facility. If the issue is deemed a valid manufacturing defect upon physical inspection, Bombay Horology LLP will cover the return shipping costs to send the repaired or replaced watch back to you.

  7. Out-of-Warranty Repairs (All Customers):

    • If the issue is found to be out-of-warranty (e.g. shock, user negligence, or water damage) after physical inspection, Bombay Horology LLP will provide an estimate for the repair. Any complimentary shipping or concierge benefits will be voided for out-of-warranty damages, and standard two-way shipping fees will be added to the repair estimate before any work commences.
